I ran into this site. Pretty cool. Interesting eccentric people interviewed and photographed at home. Cool spaces. Tells you a lot about the people.

Clothes made from vintage kangas, which are large traditional cotton handkerchiefs used by the women of East Africa. They look super cute for hot summer days. I'll be picking some items up while we are in L.A. http://www.sunony.com/

Beautiful photographs of people on the street in Paris, Milan and New York. He captures the most stylish and in the moment frames of regular and famous people. The Sartorialist
my family is at the most divided right now. we've hit rock bottom as a family. and all i would like to be is happy with my life. i'm so in love with my husband, we are at the early stage of starting a family, traveling (my most favorite thing), planning on purchasing a home and today i am told that a promotion is in my hands. everything is going for us but I can't be completely happy because when I start to ignore I get more disturbing news. I can't wait to start my own little family to show them how it can be possible. possible to have a healthy family life.
it was a lovely trip. we felt closer if for no other reason than we were out of our element. paris was so romantic and dreamy. we were walking pretty much non stop ... we figured out the train system ... ate a lot of delicious treats... stole kisses between pics ... and discovered crepes with nutella yummmmmmmmm. i met ray's friend from university. she was funny and it was cool to hang out with someone from his past. i was a little on the jealous side but it quickly dissipated. i got my issues ... it wasn't that anything felt wierd. our trip started in paris for a couple of days then we set off to Nice.
Nice was only one day and one night. It had beautiful mediterranean sea. The beach was filled with rocks but still quite beautiful. We had lunch at a little cafe that was playing some salsa music and had paintings with Frida Kahlo and Canitflas. We felt we were identified. We ate a delicious gyro on the way to the hotel and got lost which was quite funny because i got an enormous urge to pee. Next day we were going to Venice.
Venice was in carnaval... so it was super to see people in costumes. we did not have much time... bad planning on my part. We arrived at 7 pm and we had to get on the next train at 1pm. So, we quickly found our hotel and left our bags... went to plaza san marco and from there began exploring. Had dinner and drinks. There were some parties around. Some drunks... chics peeing behind a wall.. jaja and lots of other movement going on. we were up til 2 and then got up at 6am... to be able to have more time with daylight. We got some great shots and had time for breakfast at a little cafe by the hotel. We visited the museum Dorsay and visited the Basilica. Incredibly we did not miss our train. We were on our way to Cinque Terre.
Beautiful pastel colored villages, hence the name Cinque Terre (Five villages). Fisherman towns and is not a very touristy area... people usually go if they are interested in hiking and good food. Very italian small town feel. We loved it... we would like to go back with summer weather to be able to lay on the beach and vegitate ... eating fresh seafood and drinking good wine. we spent a couple of nights and then set off back to paris. for another couple of days of the oooh la la french cuisine, french music and everything french we could live :)
